Solstice Moon Set
The moon setting behind the Balsam Fir - someone's long-ago Christmas Tree - in the North East corner of our garden on the morning of the Summer Solstice.
The sun had not yet risen.
It always takes an extra bit of effort to celebrate the Summer Solstice here in the Southern Hemisphere, what with people around you going mad and putting up twinkly lights, plastic Xmas trees, fake snow and -horrors - neon icicles in the trees.
I don't know why their foolish heads don't just explode from all the cognitive dissonance, I really don't.
The Oak King is dead. Long live the Holly King.

Summer Solstice blessings to you, my Sister. I can't tell you how much I get out of reading your blog.
