Keep Them Busy

Yesterday's little drama in Pretoria had the Anarcho in my Anarcho-Primitivist Shaman cackling like a loon.

Basically,
"Bloodshed erupted on Pretoria's streets outside the Union Buildings as police and protesting army soldiers openly clashed in running street battles."

(..and please forgive this reporter's spelling and grammar - he should know bloody better. )

The Army was striking for higher pay and better working conditions. They should've known, however (being the Army) that the Union Buildings is a Key Structure in this country, and any breaking and entering into it will be met with mindless....errr...instant defence. This time, in the form of the Police, as the Army was busy doing the breaking and entering.

Last year, the Police (SAPS - good name) stood off with the Metro Police (aka Traffic Cops) in an exchange of live ammunition.

You couldn't make this stuff up. It's the Deep Humour which calls me back to the World, time and time again.

It's just possible that we in South Africa have come up with another International First. We invented Rainbow Nation, Truth and Reconciliation Commission, not to mention Apartheid.

Have we now invented the means to the fall of industrial civilization? Just keep the State's armed wings - all 3 of them - busy shooting, water cannoning and petrol bombing each other. Et voila. The rest of us can go about our business of dismantling the Machine.

  1. We in South AFrica do have this advantage. That the various armed forces, of which there are many, are so distinctly at odds with one another.
Just stay out of their way.
I do think though, that they got the attention they were after.
    peace and love
