And Time Is Just Another Dimension

Every weekday I both read, and do not read, the homily written in black felt tip pen on the glass walls of one of the exco's offices.

I don't read it on my way to the smokers' balcony and I do read it on the way back.

Do or do not - there is no try it says.

Yoda, Yoda, Yoda...tsk tsk tsk. That is not a particularly enlightened thing to say.

But we not only accept these little sound bites, we veritably build our world around them. These words put into the mouth of a supposedly wise fictional movie character are arrant nonsense. Yet we cement them into our world view, thereby giving them a reality and force out of all proportion to their ability to describe reality.
And they become for many people a reality all of their own - or a least a static brick in the wall of illusion we build for ourselves.

I am so tempted, every weekday, to make alterations in the scribed aphorism to bring it into closer alignment with Who We Really Are. Thus:

Do and do not - there is no duality.

  3. It's a quite valid, if oblique, instruction against defeatism, isn't it?

  4. ...yes, but it doesn't go far enough.

It is not a higher wisdom, merely a low level aphorism without, frankly, much thought or spirit behind it.

Flowing with the motion of the universe means all things are not only possible, but actively in motion with us.

    Not on/off black/white do/do not.
